The Lifts
Strength is the most general fitness adaptation. This means it carries over into other physical attributes, such as stamina, endurance, flexibility, power, speed, coordination, agility, balance, and accuracy.
We prioritize the 4 main lifts because they get you strong in a time efficient manner. So whether your goal is to look better, feel better, or perform better... first, you must get strong!

Brian McCormack
Brian is head coach of Haven Strength Training and specializes in barbell strength training and Starting Strength Method.
After training in the gym for nearly a decade, Brian became a certified personal trainer in 2020.
Shortly after, he stumbled upon The Starting Strength Method; a method of training designed to get people strong as efficiently as possible using the basic barbell lifts. After testing the method on himself, and then later on his clients, the proof was in the results. This style of training produced profound, rapid change. And it worked for EVERYONE - from young athletes looking for a competitive edge to 65 year olds fending off frailty.
It was clear: Strength Training is the foundation on which all other fitness goals are built.
This idea revolutionized Brian’s views on training and getting strong, and he has followed the Starting Strength Method ever since. He is currently mentoring under Starting Strength Coach (SSC) and founder of Science for Fitness, Dr. Hayden Courtland at SOLACE NYC, and trains under the guidance of SSC Dr. Christopher Palladino.
Brian finds joy and fulfillment in his clients’ successes and their improved quality of life. He believes that every person–regardless of age, fitness level, or goal–should FIRST get strong. Book a session with Brian to learn more.
Georgia Morgan
Georgia is a personal trainer specializing in strength training, beginner barbell, and diabetes guidance.

Between working as an actress, societal pressures to look a certain way, and living with Type 1 Diabetes, she describes the beginning of her fitness journey as "full of highs and lows." However, her journey has transformed her into a passionate advocate for health, joy, and strength.
In 2021, after years of training with aesthetics as the goal, she shifted to the Starting Strength Method; A method solely for getting strong. This method transformed her mental, physical, and emotional well-being, igniting a newfound excitement for the gym. She switched over to training her clients as a body-neutral coach, striving to help her clients embrace their bodies, shift their mindset, and simplify their fitness journeys. She shows up for her clients not just to provide workouts but to connect with them, motivate them, and offer a mental and physical outlet. Her goal is to guide them toward achieving their personal goals, whether that's improving their health, finding joy in movement, or feeling strong and empowered.
Georgia believes that working out should be a simple and enjoyable part of one's health and self-care routine. Her philosophy is encapsulated in her motto: "You have too much life to live to be stuck in the gym all day!"
When not training, Georgia works as an actress and enjoys spending her time in nature and around animals.
